DETAILED DAY-BY-DAY ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek – Ala Archa National Park – Bishkek City Tour
Upon arrival at Manas International Airport, meet your local Kyrgyz guide and transfer to Bishkek. Begin your adventure with a guided city tour covering:
- Pobeda Square
- Oak Park
- Ala-Too Square
- Old Square
- National Philharmonic
In the afternoon, visit Ala Archa National Park, once reserved exclusively for Soviet VIPs. Enjoy a light hike for stunning views of the Tien Shan mountains.
Overnight: Hotel in Bishkek
Day 2: Bishkek – Burana Tower – Chon Kemin Valley
Travel to the historic Burana Tower (11th century) and the surrounding field of ancient Balbal stone warriors. After exploring the site, continue to Chon Kemin, where a welcoming local family will prepare a traditional Kyrgyz lunch.
Enjoy a 3-hour horse-riding excursion through mountain forests and scenic ridges offering a panoramic gorge view.
Overnight & Dinner: Local Homestay
Day 3: Chon Kemin – Issyk-Kul Lake (North Shore) – Karakol
Depart for the legendary Issyk-Kul Lake, known as the “Pearl of Central Asia.” Visit ancient petroglyph sites en route before arriving in Karakol.
City highlights:
- The iconic Dungan Mosque, built in Chinese architectural style without nails
- The historic wooden Russian Orthodox Church
Overnight: Hotel in Karakol
Day 4: Karakol – Jeti-Oguz Gorge – Issyk-Kul (South Shore) – Kochkor
Drive to the majestic Jeti-Oguz Gorge, famous for its towering red rocks known as the Seven Bulls and the picturesque Broken Heart Mountain. Optional short hike to a viewpoint.
Continue to Bokonbaeva village for a traditional eagle-hunting demonstration, a rare nomadic cultural experience.
Overnight: Homestay in Kochkor
Day 5: Kochkor – Son Kul Lake (Yurt Stay)
Ascend to Son Kul Lake, Kyrgyzstan’s highest alpine lake at 3,013m. This is a world of pristine nature, peaceful pastures, and nomadic life untouched by time.
Enjoy free time at the lake—walk the open meadows, meet herders, or take photos of the incredible alpine scenery.
Dinner & Overnight: Traditional Yurt Camp
Day 6: Son Kul – 33 Parrots Pass – Kochkor – Bishkek
Cross the scenic 33 Parrots Pass (3,133m), a dramatic winding route descending into the valleys. Return to Kochkor to visit a local felt-making workshop, where you can create your own design using traditional colored wool techniques.
Continue driving to Bishkek.

Day 7: Bishkek – Airport Departure
After breakfast, your driver will transfer you to Manas International Airport. Enjoy the final views of the Tien Shan mountains as you depart with unforgettable memories of Kyrgyzstan’s nature, culture, and nomadic traditions.
