Pine Tree Trail is a hike located in Peninsula Malaysia, Pahang state, Fraser Hill. Pine Tree stands at 1456 meters and Twin Peak at 1505 meters. The trail’s highest point offers a glimpse of the Titiwangsa mountain range. This hike offers towering pines and stunning views, providing both challenge and serenity in the tranquil wilderness.

Distance: The trail is 5.5km+ approx long and most people take 7 to 8 hours to trek to the summit and back again.
The Trail’s highest point is 1500m above sea level. Although this is only 300 meters higher than the starting altitude of around 1200m, the path undulates considerably, and the actual height climbed is probably closer to 1500m.

ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS:
Meet-up & Departure Details
We will meet at 9:00 PM on Friday, 13 March 2026, at Marsiling MRT (near Maxicash). Upon arrival, our Event Coordinators will conduct a short pre-departure briefing covering the journey and key logistics.
We will then depart for Singapore Immigration, followed by Johor Bahru Customs. At JB Customs, participants may purchase drinks, snacks, and water for the road trip.
After clearing immigration, we will proceed by road to Bukit Fraser’s Hill, with a stop en route for early breakfast.
Pre-Hike Arrangements
Before the hike commences, participants may leave any non-essential items securely in the vehicle. We will then meet our local guides for a safety and route briefing prior to starting the hike.
Meetup with guides, Safety breifing and we will start to hike. Below is a rough guide on the trail
Hiking Day Schedule (*timing may vary depending no the weather conditions on the day)
07:00 AM – Breakfast at Fraser’s Hill Food Court (*own)
07:30 AM – Transfer to the trailhead
07:45 AM – Pre-hike briefing and stretching session
08:00 AM – Commence hike
09:40 AM – Estimated arrival at Gua Akar (rest break and group photos)
09:50 AM – Resume hike
11:15 AM – Estimated arrival at Pine Tree (regroup, meal/snack break, hydration, and group photos)
11:45 AM – Proceed towards Twin Peak
12:15 PM – Estimated arrival at Twin Peak (photo session)
01:00 PM – Begin descent to the trailhead
04:45 PM – Estimated arrival at the trailhead
05:00 PM – Dismissal and departure for return journey home
11:00 PM – 12:00Mid Night – ETA to Singapore. End of Trek.
Important Notes
Please note that there are no toilet or changing facilities in the hiking area. We will make a stop at the nearest R&R or petrol station for restroom use and changing.
After completing the hike, we will proceed for dinner, followed by our return journey to Singapore. We aim to arrive back in Singapore before midnight, subject to traffic and border conditions.
