A Challenging One-Day Adventure to Gunung Rajah (1,680m)
Experience one of Peninsular Malaysia’s most demanding day hikes as you traverse jungle trails, river crossings, and steep ladder sections to reach the summit of Gunung Rajah. This hike requires good fitness, endurance, and determination.

DETAILED ITINERARY:
DAY0:
- Meet up at 08:00pm at the Marsiling Mrt Bus Stop near to Maxi Cash on 24 Jul 2026
- Briefing about the journey
- Depart for Singapore Customs
- Depart for JB Customs (you should buy your drinks, snacks & food here on at the toilet breaks along the way)
- We will stop over for short breaks along the way and also stop for early breakfast at R & R Seramban or closer to the destination.
- Arrive at trailhead at around 03:30-03:45am.
How you can prepare yourself for the hike:
- There are very limited food locations (and choices) for early morning breakfast. We suggest you to pre pack the food of your choice or buy at the R&R .
- Please note that there is no basic toilet at the trailhead.
- Please bring only the essential things for the hike itself – you may leave your change of clothing and non-essential things in the transport. You should have with you the following essential items : 2-3liter water, food, a flashlight/headlamp, your medication, a small knife/swiss army knife, your personal first aid kit/medication, insect repellent and gloves (there will be a lot of rope/ladder walk during this hike).
- Strictly follow the cut off time from the guide as stated in the program below.
- (Exit from trail after 9pm, additional charges of RM50 per pax applicble. Pay directly to guides)
Meetup with local guides, safety briefing and we will start to hike. Below is a rough guide on the trail
DAY1:
0400 hrs – Meet, Safety Briefing & Start Hiking
Gather at the trailhead.
Equipment and safety checks.
Begin the ascent under headlamp.
0600 hrs – Arrive at Kem BMW
Short rest and hydration break.
0630 hrs – Continue Summit Push
Trek through increasingly steep terrain.
Prepare for challenging sections ahead.
0800 hrs – Reach Kem RNR
Brief stop for snacks and water refill.
Continue deeper into the forest.
1000 hrs – Arrive at Kem Asyur
Rest and regroup before the final ascent.
1100 hrs – Reach False Peak
Short break with panoramic jungle views.
Prepare for the most technical section.
1200 hrs – Summit Gunung Rajah (1,680m)
Congratulations! You’ve reached the summit!
Enjoy lunch and summit photos.
Cut-off time: 1200 hrs.
The final section involves very steep ladders and high-risk climbing sections. Participants must follow the guide’s instructions at all times.
1230 hrs – Begin Descent
Start the return journey.
1500 hrs – Arrive at False Peak
Short rest and refreshments.
1600 hrs – Reach Kem Asyur
Continue descending.
1730 hrs – Arrive at Kem RNR
Dinner break and recharge.
1900 hrs – Reach Kem BMW
Final rest stop before exiting.
2100 hrs – Return to Parking Area
End of Adventure. Group photo and dismissal. Drive to Hotel in KL… arrive late night. (Rest for the night)
Accommodation: Twin Sharing basis (3* star hotel in KL)
DAY2:
- Wake up morning – Breakfast (*at own cost)
- 10-11am – Check out Hotel (*You can leave baggage at the hotel and head for lunch)
- Group meetup like 12:45pm back at the hotel. Around 01:00pm depart from the hotel back to Singapore
- (Dinner stopover along the route – own cost)
- 08.00pm Estimated Arrival Singapore.
