Xueshan or Hsuehshan a mountain in Heping District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is the second highest mountain in Taiwan and in East Asia, at 3,886 m above sea level. It is in the Shei-Pa National Park, and it is visible in good weather from hills near Taiwan’s capital Taipei.

OVERVIEW OF ITINERARY:

We will advise you on the flight booking once the permits are secured. The entire group should arrive at the same time at Taipei International Airport. Our Representative will meet and greet you at the airport and drive you the adventure. (*best to arrive early morning flight so we can pick up around 9-10am). This adventure will be handled directly by our local guides.

🗓 Day 1: Arrival & Check-in at Qika Lodge

  • Arrival: Make your way to the serene Qika Lodge nestled in the mountains. Check-in, relax, and soak in the peaceful surroundings.

  • Meals:

    • 🍽️ Breakfast & Lunch: At your own expense (recommend nearby local eateries en route)

    • 🍽️ Dinner: Included — Enjoy a hearty welcome meal at Qika Lodge

🗓 Day 2: Ascent Towards 369 Campsite

  • Morning: Fuel up with a warm breakfast before beginning your scenic hike.

  • Trek: Begin your journey toward the iconic 369 Campsite. A day filled with majestic views and crisp mountain air.

  • Meals:

    • 🍽️ Breakfast: Provided at Qika Lodge

    • 🥪 Lunch: Self-prepared (pack your trail meal in the morning)

    • 🔥 Dinner: Provided at campsite — A nourishing mountain meal under the stars

🏕️ Overnight: 369 Campsite (shared tent accommodations) — Do take note tent allocation is done by the park subjective to the number of people on the day. (Eg: A 4men tent is shared between 3people)

🗓 Day 3: Descend & Transfer to Jiaoxi

  • Early Morning: Descend from the campsite and make your way back to civilization.

  • Afternoon: Transfer to your relaxing stay at a Jiaoxi Hot Spring Hotel. Optional soak in the natural hot springs.

  • Meals:

    • 🍽️ Breakfast: Provided at campsite

    • 🍽️ Lunch & Dinner: On your own — explore Jiaoxi town for local Taiwanese cuisine

🏨 Overnight: Jiaoxi Hotel (hot spring experience optional)

🗓 Day 4: Departure

  • Morning: Free and easy.

  • Meals:

    • 🍽️ Breakfast: At own expense (hotel or nearby options)

  • Transfer: Drop-off at airport for your onward journey. End of the great adventure.

Note: Do take note this tour will be handled directly by our local partner in Taiwan. Tour is subjective to weather conditions on the day and will be revised accordingly to the safety concerns. Guide will take the necessary decission on the day to ensure everyone safety.

📝 Reminders:

  • Pack suitable hiking attire and personal snacks for Day 2.

  • Hot spring attire recommended for Jiaoxi Hotel (swimsuit, towel, etc.)

  • Respect mountain waste rules — leave no trace.

Please note:

(1) Permits/deposits are non-transferable or refundable.  Any cancellations resulting in fewer participants will increase the travel cost per person. For any cancellation or no-show once the permits is applied, full payment made will not be refunded.

(2) If a team member feels unwell during the itinerary, the Local guide / team leader will decide whether to continue the itinerary based on safety assessment. If not entire team will decent back to safety.

(3) During the trip, if due to natural reasons eg: typhoons, storms, damaged roads/ bridges, personnel emergencies, and resulting a need to changing of itinerary/accommodations; any additional costs incurred will be borne by the participants.

(4) For safety reasons, during the hike; all participants must follow the instructions of the Guide/Trek Leader and not act alone.
