DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 01 — ARRIVAL IN SRINAGAR

Airport → Srinagar Hotel | Shikara Ride & Local Experience

Arrive at Srinagar Airport, where the SGTREK/local representative will meet and welcome you.

Transfer to your hotel and check in.

After some time to settle in, head out to experience one of Kashmir’s most iconic attractions — Dal Lake.

Enjoy a relaxing complimentary Shikara Ride, gliding through the calm waters while taking in views of the surrounding mountains, traditional houseboats and floating life on the lake.

Later, visit a traditional carpet factory and learn about Kashmir’s renowned handicraft traditions.

Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 02 — SRINAGAR → SONMARG → SRINAGAR

The Meadow of Gold | Winter Snow Experience

After breakfast, depart for Sonmarg, approximately 2.5 hours from Srinagar.

Located at around 2,800 metres, Sonmarg — meaning “Meadow of Gold” — is surrounded by spectacular Himalayan peaks and is especially beautiful during the winter months.

During winter, the landscape can transform into a spectacular snow-covered wonderland.

Enjoy time exploring the area and experiencing the winter scenery. Depending on weather and local operating conditions, visitors may also enjoy optional snow activities such as snowmobile rides.

Optional activities are at your own expense.

Later, return to Srinagar.

Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Drive: Approximately 2.5 hours each way

DAY 03 — SRINAGAR → PAHALGAM → SRINAGAR

Valleys, Saffron Fields & Himalayan Scenery

After breakfast, depart for Pahalgam, one of Kashmir’s most scenic mountain destinations.

Enjoy the beautiful journey through the Kashmir Valley, with opportunities to see:

• Saffron fields
• Awantipora ruins
• Apple orchards
• Himalayan Mountain landscapes

Upon reaching Pahalgam, explore the surrounding attractions including:

Aru Valley

A beautiful mountain valley surrounded by forests and dramatic Himalayan scenery.

Betaab Valley

Known for its picturesque landscapes, streams and snow-covered mountains.

Chandanwari

A popular gateway towards the Amarnath region and a scenic winter destination.

Important: Local sightseeing in Pahalgam requires separate local vehicles. The local sightseeing vehicle is not the same vehicle used for the main journey and is at the participant’s own expense.

After sightseeing, return to Srinagar.

DAY 04 — SRINAGAR → GULMARG → SRINAGAR

Gulmarg Winter Wonderland | Gondola Ride

After breakfast, depart for Gulmarg, one of Kashmir’s most famous mountain destinations and a major winter attraction.

Enjoy the scenic drive towards Gulmarg through the beautiful Kashmir countryside, including areas around Tangmarg.

Upon arrival, experience the spectacular Gulmarg Gondola, one of the world’s highest and most famous cable car systems.

Phase 1: Gulmarg → Kongdoori
Phase 2: Kongdoori → Apharwat

The upper reaches offer magnificent views of the surrounding Himalayan landscape and, when conditions permit, snow-covered mountain scenery.

After the Gondola experience, enjoy free time to experience Gulmarg’s winter atmosphere.

Optional activities such as:

• Skiing
• Sledge rides
• Snowmobile rides
• Horse riding

may be available locally at additional cost and depending on weather and operating conditions.

Later, return to Srinagar and check in to your Deluxe Houseboat on Dal Lake.

Enjoy dinner and a memorable overnight stay surrounded by the tranquil atmosphere of Kashmir.

DAY 05 — SRINAGAR SIGHTSEEING → AIRPORT

Mughal Gardens → Srinagar Airport

Enjoy breakfast before exploring Srinagar’s famous Mughal Gardens.

Visit:

Shalimar Bagh
A historic Mughal garden famous for its landscaped terraces, fountains and views towards Dal Lake.

Nishat Bagh
One of Kashmir’s most beautiful terraced gardens overlooking Dal Lake and the surrounding mountains.

Chashme Shahi
A smaller and beautifully landscaped Mughal garden known for its natural spring.

After sightseeing, proceed to Srinagar Airport for your onward journey.

Tour concludes with wonderful memories of winter Kashmir.
