Bukit Broga is surrounded by the lush green hills of a tropical rainforest and sits on the edge of the Titiwangsa Range. It is also a hill that sits right on the border of both the states of Negri Sembilan and Selangor. The hill is composed mostly of lalang grass while some lower areas are covered with palm oil trees or young secondary forest, thus Bukit Broga is also known as ‘Bukit Lalang’. Squirrels and birds such as swifts are common sights around the hills. But what attracted me most is its tranquility and greenness.
Bukit Broga is not tough to hike and it takes roughly 30 minutes to reach the first lookout point. There are about 3-4 of them, each with slightly different view and the further you go, the higher it is, obviously. Although the hike is short, you may be surprised with the amazing view, which looks as if you are quite high above sea level.

DETAILED ITINERARY:
Date: Friday night, 20 February 2026
11:00 PM – Meet at Marsiling Bus Stop (near MaxiCash) for registration and a short briefing.
11:05 PM – Depart for Woodlands Checkpoint for immigration clearance.
– Cross Johor Checkpoint. Participants may purchase water and snacks at the Johor customs area.
04:30 – 05:00 AM – Breakfast stop at McDonald’s or R&R (at own expense).
Morning – Arrive at the Broga Hill trail entrance and commence the hike.
Participants may leave unnecessary items in the vehicle.
By 10:00 AM – Return to the trail entrance (timing may vary depending on group fitness).
This is a beginner-friendly hike.
Participants may freshen up and change clothes at the toilet facilities at the base (no shower facilities available).
Late Morning / Afternoon – Travel to Kuala Lumpur for lunch, massage, and shopping (free and easy).
04:00 – 05:00 PM – Depart Kuala Lumpur for the return journey to Singapore.
Evening – Dinner stop at R&R en route (at own expense).
Estimated 11:00 PM – Arrival back in Singapore.
