The Gunung Lambak Butterfly Trail (Trans Lambak Butterfly) is one of Johor’s most exciting and challenging hiking routes. Named after its distinctive butterfly-shaped trail map, this adventure traverses two summits and features steep ascents, rope-assisted sections, giant trees, and scenic ridges.
Suitable for hikers with good fitness and previous mountain experience, this approximately 10–11 km loop provides a rewarding and physically demanding experience amidst the lush rainforest of Kluang, Johor.

Please have breakfast before the meetup. We will not be waiting for latecomers.

Depart Singapore.
Journey time is approximately 2–3 hours.
08:30 – 09:00 AM
Arrive at Gunung Lambak and begin the hike.
Please leave unnecessary items in the vehicle.

Travel Insurance
Travel insurance covering adventure activities is strongly recommended for all participants.
Physical Requirements
Participants should:
✔ Be comfortable hiking continuously for 6–7 hours.
✔ Have previous mountain or endurance hiking experience.
✔ Be able to manage steep ascents and descents.
✔ Possess good cardiovascular fitness and stamina.
This route is not recommended for beginners, individuals with knee problems, or those with a fear of heights.

Permit Requirement
A valid permit from the Johor State Forestry Department is required and will be arranged accordingly.
Hydration & Nutrition
Due to the tropical climate and humidity, participants are strongly advised to:
- Carry at least 2–3 litres of water.
- Bring electrolyte drinks.
- Pack energy bars, gels, or light snacks.
