Gunung Irau is the highest mountain of Cameron Highlands at 2,110 meters above sea-level, a popular climbing spot for avid hikers and an immediate neighbour to Gunung Brinchang, the second highest summit. A popular hiking ground for visitors, the trail to conquer its summit begins where the Mossy Forest boardwalk ends, taking between two and three hours to complete a 2.35km climb.
This hike we will only be going to mini irau as rest of the trail is still not opened to hike. Along the way, you will admire a fascinating kaleidoscope of dainty orchids, moss gardens, peculiar shrubs and pitcher plants. The trail is in fact, a continuation of the mossy forest landscape but with more pristine sights due to its inaccessibility to casual tourists.

Day 1 : Meetup and Drive to Cameron Highlands
8.00pm Meetup and briefing at Marsiling Mrt (meet near MaxiCash)
Drive to Cameron Highlands (few stops for breaks along the way)
Day 2 : Meetup Guides / Start Hike
Early morning at Cameron Highland stopover for breakfast (*at own cost)
- Meetup Guide and Briefing
- 4×4 will pick up and driver to trail head
- Stretching and safety talk
- 9am Start Ascent
- 12 noon to 1pm Gunung Mini Irau Summit – Lunch break for 30 minutes to 1 hour
- 1.30pm Start Descent
- 4pm Sweeper expected to reach Starting point
- End of hike and drive back to Cameron Highlands
- Check-in apartment (Sharing basis 8pax in one apartment)
- Shower & get fresh
