🗓 DETAILED ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrive in Paro
Arrival: Fly into Paro via Druk Air, witnessing breathtaking Himalayan panoramas before landing.
Activities:
- Meet your local guide upon arrival.
- Visit Paro Rinpung Dzong and Ta Dzong (National Museum).
- Leisure evening stroll through Paro town, browsing local shops and cafés.
Overnight: Hotel in Paro.
Day 2: Paro – Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktshang) – Paro
Morning: Hike (4–6 hrs round trip) to the legendary Tiger’s Nest Monastery, perched dramatically on a cliffside.
Evening: Return to Paro and relax after the hike.
Overnight: Hotel in Paro.
Day 3: Paro – Shana – Trek to Thangthangka (TREK STARTS)
Drive & Trek:
- Drive to Shana, the trek starting point.
- Trek along the Paro Chu River through lush pine forests and small settlements.
Distance: ~22 km (7–8 hrs) | Altitude: 2,850 m → 3,610 m
Overnight: Campsite at Thangthangka.
Day 4: Thangthangka – Jangothang (Jomolhari Base Camp)
Trek towards the magnificent Mount Jomolhari (7,326 m). Pass yak herder camps and alpine meadows.
Distance: ~19 km (6–7 hrs) | Altitude: 3,610 m → 4,080 m
Overnight: Campsite at Jangothang.
Day 5: Jangothang (Acclimatization Day)
Activities:
- Rest day for altitude adjustment.
- Optional hikes to Tshophu Lakes or panoramic viewpoints of Jomolhari and Jichu Drake.
Overnight: Campsite at Jangothang.
Day 6: Jangothang – Lingshi
Highlights: Cross Nyile La Pass (4,890 m) with sweeping Himalayan views before descending into Lingshi Village.
Distance: ~18 km (6–7 hrs) | Altitude: 4,080 m → 4,010 m
Overnight: Campsite in Lingshi.
Day 7: Lingshi – Shodu
Cross the Yeli La Pass (4,930 m), then descend through stunning rhododendron forests to Shodu.
Distance: ~22 km (8–9 hrs) | Altitude: 4,010 m → 4,100 m
Overnight: Campsite in Shodu.
Day 8: Shodu – Barshong (TREK ENDS)
Follow the Wang Chu River through thick forests of fir and birch until you reach Barshong, a quaint village with a ruined Dzong.
Distance: ~16 km (5–6 hrs) | Altitude: 4,100 m → 3,600 m
Overnight: Campsite at Barshong.
Day 9: Barshong – Dodena – Thimphu
Descend to Dodena and drive (~3–4 hrs) to Thimphu, the capital city.
Activities:
- Visit the Craft Bazaar, Memorial Chorten, and Tashichho Dzong.
Overnight: Hotel in Thimphu.
Day 10: Departure from Paro
Morning: Drive (1 hr) to Paro International Airport for departure.

🌦 Weather Conditions
Bhutan’s weather can vary greatly depending on altitude and season. While the best trekking months (March–May and September–November) generally offer clear skies and pleasant temperatures, conditions in the high Himalayas can be unpredictable. Sudden rain, snow, or temperature drops may occur at higher elevations.
- Participants are advised to bring appropriate cold-weather and rain gear.
- Trek itineraries may be adjusted based on local weather forecasts and safety considerations.
- Our experienced local guides will monitor trail and weather conditions closely to ensure the safety and comfort of all trekkers.
🚫 Tour Cancellation Policy
Once the tour has commenced, no refund shall be made for any portion of the trip not utilized by the participant. This includes, but is not limited to, services such as accommodation, transport, meals, or trekking arrangements that are unused due to personal reasons, illness, or early departure.
In the event that the tour or any part thereof must be cancelled, delayed, or altered due to Force Majeure conditions — including but not limited to adverse weather, natural disasters, flight disruptions, political unrest, or any other circumstances beyond the operator’s control —
- The full tour amount is strictly non-refundable.
- Every effort will be made to modify or reschedule the affected portion of the itinerary in coordination with local authorities and service providers.
- Any additional costs arising from such changes (e.g., extended stays, alternative transport, or revised logistics) shall be borne by the participants.
