Our yearly walking event is back, who is up for the challenge?
SGTREK celebrates Singapore’s 56th National day by encouraging all our community members to get active through our walks, stay fit and healthy. Join us and walk with us.
It has been an incredibly challenging year for all due to this global covid19 pandemic many people life’s, work has been devastated. We only hope all stay safe and healthy and let us get over this covid19 together soon.
As Singapore will be turning 56 this year on 9th on August 2021. Let us take a long walk of 56km. It might not be an easy walk, but with each other support we can do it.
EVENT OVERVIEW:
We will be doing our main 56km overnight walk on Sunday 08Aug2021 till Monday 09Aug2021 morning. Based on current regulations we will be walking in group of 5Pax or less. You could form your own group or tag other people on the day and walk with us with maintaining social distancing. We will send you more details in the email after registration.
*Do take note if there are any changes in the rules of social gathering, we will amend the walk accordingly and notify all the participants with the changes. Kindly do take note of this.
Our walking route would be:
Waterway front – Changi Village – TMCoastal Road – East Coast – MBS – Fort Canning Park
(*we will issue you with the gps planned routed)
For those who are unable to walk in one go, you can break down your walks from 01Aug to 09Aug and submit to us on 10Aug2021. You can choose to walk anywhere in Singapore. Remember to keep a safe distance from others and follow local government regulations to stay safe and healthy during this time and when taking part in this walk challenge. Do submit us the record on 10Aug2021.

WAYS TO TRACK AND SUBMIT:
Any running apps, fitness devices, smartwatches and indoor treadmills can be used. Submit your records after completion, we will advise you the details in email.

THINGS NEED TO KNOW BEFORE REGISTRATION:
- Do make sure to read the event fully and understand the terms and conditions for joining this event
- All participants are advised to follow local government regulations to stay safe and healthy during this time and when taking part in this virtual walk challenge.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT:

- Fill the form and Get Event confirmation
- Event registration completed
AFTER REGISTRATION:
- Complete your walk in the specified time frame
- Upload your completed total distance walk Submission Date: 10 Aug 2021, upload link will be provided in the email
- Participants to receive E-Certificate after walk completion (*You will be notified to your registered email.)
Safe Management Measures: Strictly to be followed by all participants who join this event.
- Participants to follow safe management measures throughout the activity
- All participants maintain at least 1m spacing. Always ensure no intermingling between different sub-groups.
- Requiring every participant and staff to wear a mask during the tour, except where allowed under the Control Order (e.g. where eating, drinking, or taking medication, etc.).
- For tours with conveyance, requiring participants keep to the same seats through the journey, including between destinations, and to board and disembark from the conveyance in an orderly manner that minimizes physical interaction.
- Participants to retain the Trace Together app on their mobile phones to support contact tracing efforts even after the tour.
- Adopt good hygiene practices, for example, frequent sanitizing of hands
- If you feel unwell do not join the event day. Kindly take care of your health.
