Don’t Miss Pasola Festival in Sumba, it is one of the most thrilling annual traditional war games which is held on the Sumba Island.

Pasola is a mounted spear-fighting competition from western Sumba, Indonesia. It is played by throwing wooden spears at the opponent while riding a horse to celebrate the rice-planting season. It is the name of ancient war ritual war festival by two groups of selected Sumbanese men. The ride their colorful decorated horses throwing wooden spears at each other.

Discovering the beauty of Sumba Island is one of the mysterious Tribal Island. Sumba is one of three big islands of East Nusa Tenggara (Flores Island, Timor Island and Sumba Island). Sumba is an island in eastern Indonesia. It is one of the Lesser Sunda Islands and is in the province of East Nusa Tenggara.

Overview of Itinerary:

You can book your own flights as per the itinerary and meet up with guide at the arrival terminal of Tambolaka (TMC) on the event date. Our LOCAL Guide will meet and greet the group. From there the group will depart for the adventurous journey.

DAY 1 / TAMBOLAKA AIRPORT – BWANNA BEACH SUNSET (L, D)

14.00 Pickup upon arrival at Tambolaka Airport Waikabubak (West Sumba)
14.30 Transfer to Hotel for check in and having lunch at the Restaurant
16.00 Head to Bwanna Beach to enjoy the sunset
19.00 Dinner at Local Restaurant then return to Hotel

DAY 2 / PASOLA FESTIVAL – RATENGGARO TRIBES (B, L, D)

08.00 After breakfast head to Pasola Festival
09.00 Opening ceremony then enjoy the Pasola Festival
15.00 Visiting Ratenggaro Traditional House
17.00 Return to Hotel then free and easy

DAY 3 / WAIKURI LAGOON – LAPOPU WATERFALL – WARINDING HILL (B, L, D)

07.00 Check out hotel then heading to Waikuri Lagoon
08.00 Enjoy swimming at Waikuri Blue Lagoon
10.00 Head to Lapopu Waterfall then enjoy swimming there
15.00 Head to Warinding Hill to Enjoy the Sunset
19.00 Check in Hotel then free and easy

DAY 4 / TANARARA HILL – PERSAUDARAAN HILL – WALAKIRI SUNSET (B, L, D)

07.00 After breakfast, heading to Green Savannah Tanarara
09.00 Short trekking to the middle of the savannah for taking nice photo
13.00 Having lunch at Waingapu City then enjoy the landscape of Persaudaraan Hill
17.00 In the afternoon enjoy the coconut and sunset at Walakiri Beach

DAY 5 / PURUKAMBERA – WAINGAPU AIRPORT (B)

05.00 Wakeup before 5am then we are going to Purukambera
06.00 Enjoy the sunrise at Puru Kambera with a lot of wild horses
07.00 Return to hotel then have a breakfast and prepare for check out
10.00 Transfer to the airport of Waingapu (East Sumba)
