SGTREK- The Great Singapore Walk 2019

Commemorating 200 years of founding modern Singapore (1819-2019)

2018 started with a great bang with the 100km walk, Singapore island-wide, where more than 150 people joined the walk and tested their endurance.

In 2019, SGTREK is organizing another walking event to commemorate 200 years of founding modern Singapore (1819-2019).

Join us and be a part of this historic moment, walking this journey together.

Event: 200km walk challenge

Aim: Cultivate a habit of healthy lifestyle through brisk-walking Enjoy the greenery spaces,

historical & heritage sites and tourist attractions this modern Singapore has built over the last 200 years.

Medal: SGTREK Limited edition Medal (must completed at least 200km on the stipulated period of the 4 weeks)

Certificate: Certificate of completion

Cost: $20 / pax (we are aiming to get 200 pax for this event, to break our previous record)

Event registration:

EARLY BIRD will enjoy a rate of $10 / pax (50% discount) when payment is made by 30 Nov 2018.

There will be a Christmas offer of $16 / pax (20% discount) when you sign up in the month of December 2018. Registration will close on 25 Dec 2018 and/or when it reaches 200pax.

Modes: 175km of virtual walk from 1 Jan – 26 Jan and 25km of walk at meet-up point on 27 Jan 2019

VIRTUAL walk: The aim is to encourage participants to challenge themselves, build a habit and take ownership of health through this weekly commitment of brisk-walk.

When^#2: (You can also choose to walk during the week to cover 50km per week)

01 Jan – 06 Jan (weekly of minimum 50km)

07 Jan – 13 Jan (weekly of minimum 50km)

14 Jan – 20 Jan (weekly of minimum 50km)

21 Jan – 26 Jan (weekly of minimum 25km)

At the end of the week you need to submit us the number of hours you walked / take picture/ any apps-watch tracking / etc. We will send you more details on how to email us after the registration.

Meet-up Walk: The aim of this final installment is to get together to celebrate the successful completion of a commitment with a City walk.

Time: 0700H – 1200H

Venue: To be announced

Ending: Fort Canning Park – Maritime corner

Finisher medal and certificate of completion will be issued.
