Many of you might have enjoyed our last event SINGAPORE ROUND ISLAND ROUTE organized in October2020. That event had really inspired many of you to get outdoors and see the beauty of the Singapore nature at some of the remote areas. SINGAPORE ROUND ISLAND ROUTE not only we had the largest number of people signed up for the event but also, we set the SINGAPORE BOOKS OF RECORD being the ‘Largest Event Walking Around Singapore’. This is a great achievement for everyone who had joined the event.
As the year 2020 coming to an end, let us make this walk a memorable event and cherish the new year with another great event. The Great Singapore Walk (250KM) will a celebration walk for those who have completed the previous SRIR walk. Bringing back the old memories with added new challenges along the route.
The Great Singapore Walk (250KM) is a combination of SRIR150km 15CP’s +Compass Route (100Km) 16th Checkpoint (Bukit Timah Hill Summit) where one should walk from JOHOR STRAITS LIGHTHOUSE to CHANGI VILLAGE HAWKER CENTRE climbing Bukit Timah Hill Summit and WOODLANDS JETTY LIGHTHOUSE to SOUTHERNMOST POINT OF CONTINENTAL ASIA climbing Bukit Timah Hill Summit. We call this a +Compass Route (100Km) with 16th Checkpoint added challenge.
16th checkpoint Bukit Timah Hill Summit gives an opportunity to all at least once to climb the highest mountain of Singapore. Are you ready for the challenge?? Do call your hiking Kakis and take up this challenge.
HOW TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT:
- Read through the event information provided on the event page
- Make payment for the event registration and confirm your registration
- Individually need to fill the google form which we will send you after registration.
- Start your challenge on 01Dec2020 and complete all the 16checkpoints before 31Jan2021
- You can Walk/Run for this event. You can do it on one stretch of multiple days
- Individually Upload all the 16checkpoint photos and TAG @SGTREK #SGTREK #TGSW250KM on all your social media
- Collect TGSW250KM GIFT PACK (* we will advice you on the collection details)
- Walk Safely and enjoy the event (*Advisory:All participants are advised to follow local government regulations to stay safe and healthy during this time and when taking part in this virtual walk challenge.)
*Do follow NParks rules and regulations on the timing as most park in Singapore is only open from 7am-7pm.

- Only take selfies at the designated 16Checkpoints.
- Upload all the 16checkpoint photos and TAG @SGTREK #SGTREK #TGSW250KM on all your social media.
- We will also provide you with a DROPBOX link to upload the Photo. You will need to do a 16picture collage and upload only 1 Collage Picture individually. Do not need to submit all the 16pictures.
- This event is not a competition, we only want to encourage people to take up outdoor activities and stay fit during this covid19 pandemic situation. You can meet and make friends with more like minded people along the route path.
