Trans Payung is an exciting hiking route in Malaysia that covers three prominent hills: Bukit Botak, Bukit Berdiri, and Bukit Payung. This trail offers a mix of open grasslands, forested paths, and scenic viewpoints, making it a great adventure for hikers seeking a moderately challenging trek with rewarding landscapes.

What to Expect on the Hike:

• Diverse Terrain: Open grasslands, rocky paths, and forested trails.
• Mild Scrambling: Some sections require careful footing, especially after rain.
• Wildlife & Flora: Expect to see tropical plants, small wildlife, and possibly monkeys or birds.
• Weather Considerations: Can be hot, so bring sun protection; the trail can be slippery after rain.

Meetup Time: 05.30 am (05.35am depart from Marsiling Mrt Bus Stop) – Do be on time. We will not be waiting for late comers.

Location: 30 Km east of Kluang town – state of Johor

ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS

• 05:30 AM – Meet at Marsiling MRT for a quick briefing. Please ensure you have breakfast before the meetup or bring food to eat in the vehicle or before the hike.
• 05:35 AM – Depart for Singapore-Johor checkpoint crossing. Participants may purchase essentials such as water and snacks at Johor Customs.
• 07:00 AM – Arrive at the car park of Bukit Botak and meet the local guide.
• 07:30 AM – Pre-hike briefing and stretching session.
• 08:00 AM – Start trekking.
• 09:00 AM – Arrive at Bukit Botak, enjoy scenic views and take a short break.
• 09:30 AM – Reach Bukit Berdiri for another rest stop and photo opportunities.
• 10:30 AM – Arrive at Bukit Payung, the highest point of the hike.
• 11:30 AM – Begin descent towards the ending point at Bukit Payung car park.
• 12:30 PM – Arrive at the base. Short rest before heading back. Stop at the nearest R&R station for refreshments.
• 03:30 PM – Return to Johor. If time permits, optional shopping, massage, or dinner (dinner at own cost).
• 09:30 PM – Arrive at Johor Customs.
• 10:00 PM – Back to Singapore – End of trip.
