World Cleanup Day is the world’s largest one-day civic action to engage more than 180 countries to tackle global waste crisis. World Cleanup Day is not just about cleanups. It’s a strong and unique network of doers who share the vision of the waste-free world and believe that together we can clean up the world from waste.
Join the World Cleanup Day on 18th September 2021. We invite you to share the word and motivate other members to head out and cleanup trails by joining this global campaign which is taking place across the world on 18Sep2021. This international effort to help trails around the world. Join us and do your part in keeping the trails clean and green.
You can form your own group and head to the nearest park or trail and could start cleaning the area around you. We also shout out to other hiking communities and outdoor travel companies to organize for your community members and clean other trails on that day.
Through this event we would like to educate and create a public awareness on keeping the trails clean while you enjoy the outdoors. Bring back what you bring in and do not litter the trails. If everyone picks up a rubbish when you visit nature, we could contribute to the growth of rich Biodiversity.
*DUE TO THE RECENT COVID19 REGULATIONS, WE WILL CHANGE THIS EVENT TO VIRTUAL EVENT. YOU CAN PICKUP THE RUBBISH ANYWHERE AROUND THE ISLAND.

Trail Cleanup: VIRTUAL EVENT
THING TO TAKE NOTE:
FJALLRAVEN has sponsored reusable trash bags, we will be issuing to all members who will signup this event and show up on the event day. Group of 5pax will be formed and each group will be allocated with 2 big bags to accumulate the trash. WE WILL ADVICE YOU ON THE COLLECTION IN YOUR EMAIL.
The following are things you will need:
- Bring your own Gloves/Tongs
- A bottle of water 1liter
- Umbrella or Raincoat
- Some light snacks
- Sport shoes (we are walking on park connector mostly)
- Waterproof daypack
- Comfortable wear
- Personal medication if any
- Sun protection, Sunscreen, Sunglasses
Personal protective equipment needed for cleanup
- Appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes; be ready for a sudden change in the weather.
- Wear gloves all the time while collecting trash.
- Hats and sunglasses, sunscreen, and clean water. Drinking water is essential whilst working.
Safe Management Measures: Strictly to be followed by all participants who join this event.
- Participants to follow safe management measures throughout the activity
- All participants maintain at least 1m spacing. Always ensure no intermingling between different sub-groups.
- Requiring every participant and staff to wear a mask during the tour, except where allowed under the Control Order (e.g. where eating, drinking, or taking medication, etc.).
- For tours with conveyance, requiring participants keep to the same seats through the journey, including between destinations, and to board and disembark from the conveyance in an orderly manner that minimizes physical interaction.
- Participants to retain the Trace Together app on their mobile phones to support contact tracing efforts even after the tour.
- Adopt good hygiene practices, for example, frequent sanitizing of hands
- If you feel unwell do not join the event day. Kindly take care of your health.
