Known as Yushan in Chinese, Jade Mountain is not only the highest mountain in Taiwan but also the tallest peak in Northeast Asia, standing proudly at 3,952m (12,966 ft). Located within the breathtaking Yushan National Park, adjacent to the renowned Alishan National Scenic Area, the mountain is celebrated for its stunning alpine scenery, sea of clouds, and spectacular sunrise views.

Booking & Payment Information

A deposit of SGD100 per person is required to secure your slot for this event.

Please make the deposit payment and send us a copy of your passport for the booking process.

  • Permit applications will be submitted once bookings open, approximately 4 months before the event date.
  • Once the permits are successfully secured, the full balance payment must be made on the same day.
  • Please note that permit approval is subject to the authorities’ discretion.
  • If the permits are not approved, your deposit will be fully refunded. Alternatively, you may choose to transfer your booking to our next available event date, and we will attempt to secure permits for that departure.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance after the permits have been secured.

  • Insurance coverage should include mountaineering activities up to 4,000m.
  • In the event that the trip is cancelled for any reason, we will not be responsible for reimbursing any travel insurance expenses incurred.

Training & Preparation

Once the trip is confirmed, we will provide:

  • Regular training sessions conducted by us at no additional cost

Important Note

Please note that this trip is operated in a small-group setting, with a minimum of 4–7 Group Participants and a maximum of 14 Participants, to ensure a more personalized and enjoyable experience.

All tour arrangements and mountain logistics will be handled directly by our experienced local Chinese-speaking mountain guide and support team. There will be no SGTREK Tour Leader accompanying the group throughout the trip.

Should the group prefer to have an English-speaking tour leader/coordinator accompanying the expedition, this can be arranged upon request, subject to availability. Please note that an additional fee will apply for this service.

OVERVIEW OF ITINERARY:

Flight Arrangements

We will advise the group on flight bookings once the mountain permits have been successfully secured.

To facilitate smooth transfers and logistics, all participants are required to arrive around the same time at Taipei International Airport. Our local representative will meet and greet the group at the airport before transferring everyone to begin the adventure.

We strongly recommend booking an early morning flight, with an arrival time around 9:00–10:00 AM, to allow for a convenient group pick-up and onward journey.

Please note that this expedition will be managed directly by our experienced local guides and support team.

Day 1: Arrival & Stay at DongPu Cabin

  • Pick-up from airport or designated location (before 1 PM).
  • Scenic drive towards DongPu with stops along the way.
  • Dinner & meal prep – Purchase breakfast and lunch for the next day (own expense).
  • 19:00 Check-in at DongPu Cabin – Rest & acclimatization.

Day 2: Trek to PaiYun Lodge (3,400m)

  • 06:30 Depart from DongPu Cabin.
  • 08:00 Arrive at Tatagar Pass.
  • 08:30 Document verification (passport check) to enter YuShan National Park.
  • Shuttle transfer to YuShan Trailhead (2,500m).
  • 09:00 Start trek from YuShan Trailhead.
  • 12:00 Lunch break at rest stop (5 km / 3,000m).
  • 15:00 Arrive at PaiYun Lodge (8.4 km / 3,400m).
  • Dinner provided at the lodge – Rest & acclimatization.

Day 3: Summit Day & Descent to Indigenous ‘BuNong’ Tribe Hostel

  • 02:00 Wake-up, preparation, & breakfast.
  • 03:00 Begin summit push to YuShan Main Peak (3,952m).
  • 06:00 Enjoy breathtaking sunrise at the summit.
  • 09:00 Descend back to PaiYun Lodge – Lunch break.
  • 14:00 Shuttle transfer from Trailhead to Tatagar.
  • 18:00 Check-in at Indigenous ‘BuNong’ Tribe Hostel – Dinner provided.

Day 4: Departure

  • Breakfast provided at the hostel.
  • Drop-off at airport. You can also choose to extend your trip on own. End of the Tour.
  • You can make your hotel arrangements and airport transfer based on your flight out if you extend your trip.

Note: Do take note this tour will be handled directly by our local partner in Taiwan. Tour is subjective to weather conditions on the day and will be revised accordingly to the safety concerns.

(1) Permits/deposits are non-transferable or refundable.  Any cancellations resulting in fewer participants will increase the travel cost per person. For any cancellation or no-show once the permits is applied, full payment made will not be refunded.

(2) If a team member feels unwell during the itinerary, the team leader will decide whether to continue the itinerary based on safety assessment.

(3) During the trip, if due to natural reasons eg: typhoons, storms, damaged roads/ bridges, personnel emergencies, and resulting a need to changing of itinerary/accommodations; any additional costs incurred will be borne by the participants.

(4) For safety reasons, during the hike; all participants must follow the instructions of the Guide/Trek Leader and not act alone.
