Gunung Lambak is a compact yet rewarding mountain located in the heart of Johor State, Malaysia, approximately 5 km from the town of Kluang. Standing at 510 metres above sea level, it offers an excellent opportunity for participants to experience an overseas hiking adventure within a short weekend getaway from Singapore.
This hike is specially designed for those who are preparing for bigger mountains and more challenging adventures. While suitable for hikers looking to build endurance and confidence, please note that the Big Tree trail involves steep sections and is not recommended for complete beginners.

Meetup Time : 07.00 am (07.10am depart from Marsiling Mrt Bus Stop) – Do be on time. We will not be waiting for late comers.

ITINERARY HIGHLIGHTS:
There are 2 or perhaps 3 trail heads leading to the summit of Gunung Lambak, and at the foothill is a resort for holiday goers. We set off the trail with a stream next to it, and will make a steep ascent on undulating rocks to reach a rest point with huge signboards. Beyond the rest points, there are 2 ways to get to the summit. One is a steep vertical long ascent with plenty of scrambling to do, another is a gradual slope which covers a longer distance. We will take the steep rock scrambling trail, and descent via the gentler slopes.
The terrain is definitely challenging for a 510m hill (or a mountain). It doesn’t matter if you are a seasoned trekker or a newbie, it takes courage to attempt a challenge, and courage comes from the heart.
Gunung Lambak is a good mountain to climb to experience trekking in a forested area, many seasoned trekkers travel to Kluang to climb Gunung Lambak as part of their training regime. Locals climbed it to keep fit. You can do it too, whatever reasons you have to want to climb
ITINERARY:
07:00 AM – Meet at Marsiling MRT Station.
Please have your breakfast prior to the meetup. The group will depart punctually; latecomers will not be waited for.07:10 AM – Departure from Marsiling MRT.
Estimated travel time: 2–3 hours (maximum).10:00 AM – Commence ascent.
All unnecessary belongings may be left in the provided transport.12:00 PM – Reach the summit, followed by descent.
Participants who are fit and keen may continue to Big Tree.Enjoy snacks, rest, photography, and free time.
Participants who do not wish to proceed to Big Tree will descend via an alternative trail.
04:00 PM – Arrive at the base of the hill.
Wash-up and freshen up.Late Afternoon – Stop at Kluang (subject to time availability) for food and/or massage.
05:00 PM – Depart Kluang and begin return journey to Singapore.
07:00 – 08:00 PM – Estimated arrival at Marsiling MRT Station.
